Power Plant Zolling honours 14 charitable projects as part of the Citizens’ Fund 2024
Zolling, 27 November 2024 – The winning projects of the Zolling 2024 Power Plant Citizens’ Fund were honoured at a ceremony today. A total of 14 associations and social organisations from the region can look forward to individual grants of between 500 and 3,960 euros. Kraftwerk Zolling provided a total budget of 20,000 euros for the Citizens’ Fund 2024. An independent jury decided on the allocation of the funds after the application deadline.

An independent jury consisting of Helmut Priller, Mayor of the municipality of Zolling, Michael Schmatolla, Head of the Office for Youth and Family at the Freising District Office, Gottfried Herrmann, Head of the 3klang gGmbH music school in Freising and Anja Aigner, local councillor for Haag a. d. Amper, took on the responsible task of selecting the funded projects from around 30 applications. Project applications could be submitted between 25 July and 9 September 2024.
As a partner to the region, Kraftwerk Zolling has been supporting local charitable projects for eleven years. This year, initiators and non-profit organisations from the municipalities of Attenkirchen, Haag an der Amper, Kirchdorf an der Amper, Langenbach, Marzling, Nandlstadt, Wang, Wolfersdorf, Zolling and the city of Freising were once again invited to apply for financial support for their projects.
The entire power plant Zolling thanks all participants for their applications, congratulates the winners and looks forward to the realisation of the award-winning projects.
Winner of the Zolling 2024 citizens’ fund:
- Förderverein Haager Fußball e.V.: 960 euros for the purchase of a new scoreboard following flood damage
- 3Klang gGmbH: 1,900 euros for the ‘Learning German with music’ project
- Helferkreis Zolling für Asyl und Integration e.V.: 1,550 euros for swimming lessons for refugee children
- Kleine Strolche kindergarten and crèche: 1,500 euros for the design of the crèche’s intensive room
- Marzling primary school: 1,500 euros for the ‘Our world – my task’ project
- Kirchdorf an der Amper primary school parents’ association: 1,500 euros for the ’ZappZarap hands-on circus’
- WildnisLeben Freising e.V.: 1,500 euros for sustainable nature education and environmental education for children and adults
- Wolfersdorf primary school: 1,400 euros for an interactive music theatre project on the topic of resilience
- Phoenix Freising e.V.: 1,200 euros for the project ‘Humour as a source of strength’
- Erlebnis Naturgarten e.V.: 1,000 euros for a defibrillator for first aid
- Haag an der Amper primary school: 900 euros for ‘Actually I wanted to fly’, a violence prevention project by the ‘Eukitea’ theatre company
- St. Nikolaus Langenbach community library: 850 euros for a colouring-in film
- Schützenverein Gemütlichkeit Schweinersdorf e.V.: 740 euros for equipment for young shooters
- Zolling community library: 500 euros for a new storage space for the first reading books
